ABOUT
Bison embodies the earthy analog sound of a cello, while Rouge ignites with electric fluidity and soulful vocals. Together, they are a feminine force of nature in electronic, ambient-classical, and modern folk. At times a concert, at times a ritual, her atmospheric songs captivates audiences in clubs, churches, and open-air festivals with her unique and stunning performance style. Gliding between genres, her music finds it’s space closer to composer artists such as Björk, Agnes Obel, Sudan Archives, and Johnny Greenwood.
Born in Wroclaw (PL), raised in Seattle (USA) and now living in Berlin, award winning cellist, singer, composer Ashia Grzesik has performed in cross-genre ensembles such as the Stegreif Orchester, Artstidir, and Cirque du Soleil, and the Portland Cello Project. With her solo project the 'Bison Rouge', she brings her passion for the feminine divine, folklore and futurism with atmospheric and intimate concert performances. She is producing releases with Thomas Geiger of the Berlin Sound Department and Emely Hedel of the Female Producer Collective.
As an educator and facilitator, she brings her experience working with music technology and AI creativity to workshops and commissions such as 'Found in Translation', which she co-created with Jovanka von Wilsdorf for Pop-Kultur Berlin and Most Wanted Music.
She is endorsed by Orchestral Tools and has performed at events including Neumann Microphones and Coach Hub.
